Become a part of our team at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center located in San Francisco, CA, as a Nuclear Medicine Physician!
The responsibilities of the Nuclear Medicine Physician encompass a comprehensive range of diagnostic medical and surgical care for both inpatient and outpatient veterans. This includes providing consultations, making diagnoses, administering therapies, and determining treatment plans for patients referred to the Radiology Service. Additionally, this role involves overseeing and mentoring resident physicians and medical students from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) in matters related to Radiology.

Salary Range: Expected compensation between $340K and $400K , negotiable based on the candidate's qualifications, credentials, and experience.
Work Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST.
Compensation: Competitive salary, annual performance bonuses, and regular salary increments.
Paid Time Off: Enjoy 50-55 days of paid leave annually, which includes 26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays, and potentially 5 days of paid leave for continuing medical education (CME).
Retirement Benefits: Access to a traditional federal pension (with a 5-year vesting period) and a federal 401K plan with contributions of up to 5% from the organization.
Insurance Coverage: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance options (many federal insurance plans can be continued into retirement).
Licensure: Must possess one full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.
CME Support: Potential reimbursement of up to $1,000 per year (applicable for full-time employees with board certification).
Malpractice Coverage: Liability protection is provided at no cost, including tail coverage.
Contractual Terms: No Physician Employment Contract is required, and there are no significant restrictions on moonlighting.
