Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Nurse position in Winchester, Tennessee. This role involves providing specialized care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum periods in a Level 1 OB Trauma unit. The position requires managing high-risk patients and adapting to fluctuating patient census to deliver high-quality maternal and neonatal care.

Job Details:

• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN licensure in Tennessee, minimum of 2 years of experience as a labor and delivery nurse, certifications in AWHONN, ACLS, and BLS
• Preferred Qualifications: Ability to manage high-risk patients, including pre-eclampsia and insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (IDDM)
• Schedule: Night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week; Weekend hours include 7P-7A as needed
• Additional Information: Orientation is scheduled weekly on Mondays. Candidates must reside at least 60 miles from the facility. The unit comprises 4 labor beds, 2 triage rooms, and 7 postpartum rooms, with a patient ratio of 1:1 or 1:2 during labor and 1:6 postpartum. Experience with Meditech and OB tracevue Electronic Medical Records is preferred.
