About Lakewood Regional Support

Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry and Communications.

What We Are Looking For:

A strategic and results-driven leader who supports the financial operations of a dynamic hospitality environment. This role partners closely with the Director of Finance to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, strong internal controls, and operational efficiency while providing insights that drive profitability and support business goals. The position also serves as a key resource for property finance teams, providing hands-on support during team member absences and peak business periods to ensure continuity and maintain financial performance.

What You Will Do

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, account reconciliations, and related reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, analyzing account activity, and maintaining supporting documentation.
• Review financial results and investigate variances, discrepancies, and unusual transactions to ensure the integrity of financial records.
• Analyze revenues, expenses, labor costs, and other financial data to identify trends and support operational and financial objectives.
• Compile, analyze, and interpret information used in budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities.
• Research accounting issues and recommend appropriate resolutions in accordance with established accounting policies and procedures.
• Monitor accounting activity and internal controls to support accurate financial reporting and compliance requirements.
• Review balance sheet accounts and reconcile outstanding items in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.
• Coordinate audit requests by gathering documentation, researching inquiries, and supporting internal and external audit activities.
• Interpret and apply accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance.
• Partner with departmental leaders to provide financial information, answer questions, and support informed business decisions.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency and recommend appropriate enhancements.
• Participate in special projects, financial analyses, and process improvement initiatives that support departmental and organizational objectives.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance in alignment with company standards and operational needs.
• Embrace flexibility by performing other duties as assigned in support of business operations and financial objectives.

Your Experience Includes

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• At least two years of accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or related experience required; preferably in a hospitality environment.
• Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and financial reports.
• Experience working with general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
• Experience analyzing financial data and researching account variances and discrepancies.
• Experience supporting audit activities and maintaining financial records and documentation preferred.
• Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and standard accounting practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Experience working with accounting and financial reporting systems.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends and holidays, as business needs require.
