Lockport Rehab & Health Center at located in Lockport, NY is currently seeking a candidate with an eye for hair designs, including traditional designs, for the aging population.  This position involves working in our Long-Term Care Facility, with our senior residents. 

Responsibilities Include: 

• Consulting with clients on stylistic options for their hair.

• Listening to client needs to determine their preferences.

• Describing different hair care products and hair designs.

• Shampooing, cutting, coloring, highlighting perming and teasing hair.

• Building a personal relationship with clients to ensure return visits.

• Adhering to salon safety and cleanliness standards.

• Managing bookings and welcoming clients into the store.

Requirements Include: 

• ALL Products are supplied by Salon

• Hair Stylists MUST supply personal tools as in: Rollers/Brushes/combs/shears/clippers

• Hair stylist MUST have current NY State Cosmetology license

• MUST have 5 years working experience with roller sets/teasing

• MUST have insurance

• Hair Stylist must be able to maneuver wheelchair

• Hair Stylist must have Five (5) years’ experience with roller sets, teasing and perms

• Clientele ready “Busy Salon” with great residents

• NO chair rental.

• Must be a TEAM Player

• Compassionate and friendly disposition essential!

Experience:   

• Stylist: 5 years (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

License: 

• Current New York State Cosmetology (Required)
