POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for installing and configuring applications for the university information system, learning management system and other systems as assigned; builds reports to meet the information requirements for the university; develops and maintains interfaces, web portlets; provides user support and training as required. Will lead and/or participate in projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Lead technical efforts involving the configuration and maintenance of the university Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Course and Learning Management Systems, and other ERP-related applications.
• Deploy and maintain university systems; build and maintain interfaces to third party software for business applications and online instruction.
• Troubleshoots technical issues with applications, the USM network and ERP.
• Support ERP module managers and their staff.  Analyzes business processes and uses SQL to write reports, run update and insert scripts, and create views.
• Support user reports against multiple SQL databases using InfoMaker, PowerBI and Izenda.
• Provide training on university applications to faculty, staff and students.
• Monitors data integrity within ERP and maintains documentation.
• Participates in defining business requirements and evaluating business processes to enhance current practices using form builder and form flow applications.
• Maintains working knowledge of end user permissions and requirements for new employee account creation.
• Maintains student web portal.
• Serves as Microsoft SharePoint Administrator. Develops and maintains sites through Microsoft SharePoint.  Monitors security and permissions in SharePoint.
• Maintains a working knowledge and awareness of network infrastructure.
• Performs additional job related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Information Technology program is preferred.
• Three years of experience in the installation, configuration, security, and management of SQL, Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft SharePoint.  
• Experience with InfoMaker, eLearning, Jenzabar EX, or other college ERP,  and report writing tools is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in systems administration.
• Effective customer service skills.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
• Affinity with the overall mission of the University of Saint Mary.
