We are seeking an experienced Drafter 3 to join our engineering and design team. This role is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed 2D drawings and 3D models that support engineering design and plant retrofit projects. The ideal candidate will have substantial drafting experience, strong technical expertise in CAD software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, plant personnel, and vendors to ensure high-quality design deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and modify detailed 2D drawings and 3D CAD models based on engineering and design requirements.
• Create accurate drafting packages from information provided by engineers and designers.
• Revise and update existing drawings to support plant retrofit and modification projects.
• Participate in plant-site walkdowns to collect field data, verify existing conditions, and obtain dimensional information required for design development.
• Ensure drawings and models comply with applicable engineering standards, specifications, and industry best practices.
• Coordinate with engineering teams, plant staff, and vendors to resolve design and drafting issues.
• Maintain drawing accuracy, consistency, and document control procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support project execution by identifying potential design conflicts and proposing practical solutions.
• Assist in planning and leading smaller drafting or design projects while meeting project schedules and quality expectations.

Required Qualifications

• 7-10 years of professional drafting and design experience.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software and related design tools.
• Strong understanding of engineering drafting standards, practices, and principles.
• Experience supporting industrial, plant, manufacturing, or retrofit projects.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and design excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Drafting, Design Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• Experience conducting field investigations and plant-site walkdowns.
• Familiarity with industrial facility layouts, equipment, piping, structural, or electrical drawings.
