Psychiatrist Opportunity in Memphis, TennesseeFrench Consulting is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist to deliver comprehensive psychiatric services at the Lt. Col. Luke Weathers, Jr. VA Medical Center in Memphis, Tennessee. If you are passionate about psychiatric care and committed to excellence, this role is for you.Inpatient CareCollaborate with VA Mental Health staff on inpatient care duties, including:Operating and collaborating on physician patient caseloadsSeeing 1C/1D Psychiatry Service ward patientsAdmitting and diagnosing patientsDeveloping individualized treatment plansManaging and performing timely treatmentCoordinating discharge and transferCompleting all required medical record documentationOutpatient CareSee all new patient referrals with accompanying medical recordsProvide care for severely mentally ill patientsPerform evaluation, disposition, and E-consult servicesConduct post-discharge follow-up; patients must be seen within 30 days of dischargeClinic and Residential CareOperate the clinic, examine patients, and interpret reports as required by the VAWork collaboratively with VA staff across various clinic settingsPeer ReviewProvide professional psychiatric expertise for peer review of selected casesReview includes tort claims, patient and family complaints, Mental Health case reviews, and benefit appealsWho You AreA skilled, compassionate psychiatrist dedicated to providing high-quality care to veteransCommitted to meeting or exceeding nationally recognized standards of psychiatric careA collaborative professional who works effectively with VA Mental Health staff, residents, and multidisciplinary teamsDetail-oriented and proactive in clinical documentation, compliance, and reportingQualificationsCurrent, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in any U.S. State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of ColumbiaNo history of restricted, suspended, revoked, voluntarily surrendered, or denied licensure in any jurisdictionBoard Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Psychiatry and NeurologyCurrent certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), or equivalentDemonstrated proficiency in inpatient and outpatient psychiatric care, including the full scope of services listed aboveMission-driven care: directly serve U.S. military veterans and their families in Memphis, Tennessee.
