Radiation Oncologist

Cancer Care of Western New York is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Radiation Oncologist to join their dynamic team in Western New York. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in providing comprehensive radiation therapy services, participating in multidisciplinary cancer conferences, and contributing to the overall excellence of the oncology program. This role offers an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility across Niagara and Erie Counties, delivering exceptional patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert diagnosis, staging, and treatment planning for cancer patients requiring radiation therapy.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing advanced radiation techniques (e.g., IMRT, SBRT, Brachytherapy, etc., customize based on available tech).
• Oversee patient care throughout the course of treatment, including daily rounds, symptom management, and follow-up.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team including medical oncologists, surgeons, physicists, dosimetrists, radiation therapists, and support staff.
• Participate in tumor boards and other clinical conferences to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Engage in continuous professional development and stay abreast of the latest advancements in radiation oncology.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and uphold the highest standards of patient safety.
