Assistant Athletic Trainer Position located in Galesburg, IL. Full-time, 12‑month, benefits‑eligible. Salary: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 annually. Position Overview Assistant Athletic Trainer provides sports medicine services for 14 varsity sports in the NCAA Division III program, supporting student‑athlete success and well‑being. Responsibilities Provide practice and event coverage, including evenings and weekends. Supervise athletic training facilities and student first aiders. Deliver care, prevention, evaluation, rehabilitation, and documentation of injuries for assigned sports. Communicate with sports medicine, coaching, and athletic administration staff. Assist with game operations and/or teaching a sports studies course (as directed by the Head Athletic Trainer). Additional duties may be assigned based on experience and strengths. Required Qualifications Master’s Degree. Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification. Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours. Preferred Qualifications Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize weekly and daily schedules over a trimester.
