Today, we serve children, youth, and families from more than 150 communities across Massachusetts.Make a Difference Every Day—and Gain Skills You Can Use for LifeThe Clinician provides case management and ongoing clinical services to the Res Ed students and families at Walker’s Needham Campus; provide clinical consultation to direct care and educational staff; provide ongoing assessment, treatment planning, goal focused treatment, and discharge planning for assigned youth. Must be committed to child centered, family focused, culturally competent care and strengths-based treatment.Essential FunctionsUnder the guidance of Res Ed clinical leadership, work to ensure that all clinical services in the REs Ed program are aligned with the agency mission and core values. This includes but is not limited to services that are trauma informed, relationship based, family involved, developmentally focused, competence centered, and ecologically oriented.Commit to the use of evidence-based practices to provide quality clinical treatment to students and their families, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.Manage a caseload of up to 12 students, including providing individual therapy and family therapy as needed, as well as ongoing written assessments and documentation to be completed in a timely manner, including (but not limited to) treatment plans, IEPs, and discharge summaries.Interface with outside systems including DCF, DMH, LEAs, and CBHI providers, maintain consistent and professional communication and complete documentation of all contact.Coordinate and facilitate treatment meetings for students on caseload.Work collaboratively with the Res Ed team to develop and implement clinical services to students in the milieu, including conducting groups.Provide clinical consultation to direct care staff, crisis support to youth, and coverage on the floor as needed.Participate in required trainings and additional professional development opportunities when offered.Attend multidisciplinary team meetings and staff meetings.Serve as Clinician On-Call for the campus on a rotating basis.Additional duties as assigned.Skills and AbilitiesMust be able to successfully pass and apply Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) trainingMust be able to successfully complete First Aid/CPR trainingStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to remain calm and make safe decisions in high-pressure situationsCapacity to work effectively in a stressful and fast-paced environmentAbility to learn, retain, and apply principles taught in training and supervisionPhysical stamina to participate in activities with childrenAbility to stand, walk, and run for extended periods, perform frequent bending, stooping, stretching, lifting (up to 10 lbs.), sitting, stairs, typing, and looking at a computer screenStrong written and verbal communication skills and computer experience is requiredAbility to meet deadlines and follow through with multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to work flexibly and collaboratively as part of a team, including during times of high stressAbility to transport clients in company vehiclesSchedule:Monday – Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, with flexibility for evenings and weekends based on program and operational needsQualificationsEducation and CertificationsRequired:Master’s degree in relevant discipline (Social Work, Psychology, Counseling).Clinical licensure (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC, LMFT)ExperiencePreferred:Experience with goal oriented clinical work with youth and families.Experience with the use of evidence-based clinical practices.Experience with work with youth in a similar setting.Other Requirements:Obtain Elementary Education and Care (EEC) background check suitabilityMust have reliable transportationValid MA driver’s license preferredBilingual capabilities are preferred, but not requiredSupervision:Reports to: Assistant Director of Res Ed Clinical Services or Res Ed Clinical SupervisorSupervises: Interns as assignedEqual Opportunity StatementWalker is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate based upon an individual's race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, sexual orientation, genetic information, disability, veteran status, pregnancy, national guard or reserve unit obligations, participation in discrimination complaint-related activities, or membership in any category protected by federal or state law. #J-18808-Ljbffr Walker-Inc
