About the Role

We seek an experienced Product Validation Automation Engineer to join our Product Validation team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The successful candidate will design, build, and sustain scalable test automation frameworks that enable rapid validation cycles across the ESS product line. This role focuses on automated test operations, requiring technical expertise in test infrastructure, data management, and accessibility ensuring test availability and systematic data collection under the Engineering Manager's guidance, including HIL and SIL test infrastructure setup and configuration.

Role Attributes

Test Infrastructure & Integration

• Design and maintain scalable automated test frameworks for power electronics and ESS validation, supporting CI/CD integration and rapid release cycles

• Ensure availability of automated test operations, data logging, and test report generation for the ESS portfolio, with focus on test infrastructure reliability and long-term data preservation

• Configure and integrate HIL/SIL test environments for power electronics validation, enabling end-to end system verification across hardware and software stacks

• Operate and maintain validation equipment including Grid Simulators, Electronic Loads, Oscilloscopes, and DAQ systems for automated test control and calibration

• Ensure proper integration and coordination between hardware/software measurement tools for automated test sequencing and certification compliance

• Manage test configurations and resource prioritization for maximum automated test throughput across all ESS components

Daily Operations & Reporting

• Organize and maintain daily test execution operations with focus on automated test framework availability and throughput

• Track test execution status, pass/fail criteria, and trending data across all validation categories, with emphasis on automation infrastructure metrics

• Create weekly and monthly validation progress reports for engineering management focused on Automated Test operations efficiency and continuous improvement

• Document test procedures, results, and any operational changes required based on validation findings, with emphasis on automation workflows

Qualifications, Functional Experience & Skills

Required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)

• 3+ years experience in automation frameworks

• Hands-on experience with validation equipment integration and automated test sequencing with Grid Simulators, Electronic Loads, Oscilloscopes, DAQ systems, PLC and HMI

• Proficiency with SCPI, MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, or similar scripting languages for Automated Test development

• Experience with data logging systems and test report generation workflows for automated validation

• Experience with HIL/SIL test infrastructure configuration and integration for automated test systems

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution and reporting

Preferred

• Strong system thinking with ability to design holistic test automation ecosystems

• Professional engineering certification or relevant validation credentials preferred

• Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing test infrastructure issues and optimizing automated test availability

• Commitment to data integrity, accessibility, and long-term test result preservation

• Ability to translate complex test data into clear, actionable intelligence for engineering stakeholders

• Collaborative approach for cross-team test infrastructure development and maintenance

• Focus on continuous improvement of test automation coverage and operational efficiency across all ESS components.

The compensation range for this role is between $100,000 - $130,000 + Benefits
