Through relationships established with private childcare centers, in addition to public “park” programs, Soccer Shots Central Indiana is currently serving over 4,500 children, between the ages of 2 and 10, each year. Our motivation is to impact children in both soccer education and character development with application to all areas of children’s lives. We are motivated by a desire to see children experience the game of soccer and to enjoy the rewards that participation in the game offers. Our mission is simple: to positively impact children’s lives through the game of soccer. Job Description The role of the Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our coaching, and to be in direct contact with other Leadership Team members. This position is accountable for the growth of the Soccer Shots Central Indiana team, while maintaining the professional quality and high standard of excellence of the company. As part of the leadership team, the Program Coordinator will be expected to play an active role in the growth, success, and impact of Soccer Shots Central Indiana in the community and will represent Soccer Shots Central Indiana with excellence. The Program Coordinator must have a passion for working with young children and soccer, great communicative and interpersonal skills, and the ability to encourage and provide constructive, candid criticism when needed. Program Coordinator responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Onboarding: onboarding paperwork (handbook training) and assists with new staff orientation Continuing education Evaluating: evaluating coaches, scheduling evaluations Firing: discussions with Director of Operations and firing decisions Team Culture: coaching operations and team culture responsibilities Coach Recruitment Hiring Run in‑person interviews Collect resume, cover letter, and references Follow‑up with references Conduct working interviews at program locations Recommend potential hires and make hiring decisions Attend career fairs and hiring events Install bandit signs for recruitment, as needed Apprenticeship Program / Coach Training Accountable for overseeing the apprenticeship/training program Curricula implementation Online training (attendance sheet protocol, timesheets, etc) Administrative procedures training (forms, reminders, posters, trial slips, etc) Mentor full‑time/lead coaches to successfully complete the training process Event training (open house, birthday parties, etc – with help of HR & Event Coordinator) Demo training Camp training Organize and execute pre‑season coach training meetings (four per year) Curricula improvement (notes, tips, tricks, etc) Executing coaching videos for each game in curriculum Two evaluations each season, per coach (eight per year) Evaluation schedule set‑up prior to start of each season (tracked with spreadsheet) Yearly reviews for full‑time coaches Coach promotions Discuss potential firing decisions with Director of Operations Coach Operations & Team Culture Coordinate information for weekly emails with Administrative Director Coordinate all scheduling with Administrative Director Coordinate parent communication pieces with Administrative Director Equipment, gear, and prize management Administrative materials management (forms, reminders, posters, trial slips, etc) Attendance sheet audit (weekly) Informal coach check‑ins / coach pulse (tracked) Coach retention plan Coach recognition Team socials (two or three per year) Coach of the Season Account Management & Business Development Accountable for eight school visits per week (tracked with spreadsheet) Problem solving at locations, including communication with coaches Confirm season dates and schedules with school and public locations, as needed Coordinating and delivering director/staff gifts Phone calls/emails to customers to get extra feedback, as needed Coaching Lead coach for up to 25 sessions per week (coaching responsibilities) Master substitute for all sessions Install marketing bandit signs prior to seasons, as needed Pre‑Class Preparation: prepare in advance, reading curriculum, confirming equipment, printing attendance sheet, checking registrations Arrive early: schools 10‑15 minutes early, parks 15‑20 minutes early; class starts on time, no exceptions On‑site coaching: enhance relationships, communicate courteously, keep site staff informed, provide amazing experience for children, keep area clean, stay late as needed, return children to designated areas, manage travel time Administrative tasks: input attendance, update notes, fill trial slips, take pictures, deliver reports, collect registration forms Program Coordinator Requirements Attend SSCI team trainings, team building activities, and social events Attend and participate in leadership team meetings Participate in traction implementation and traction meetings Complete required SSF and SSCI trainings Ability to coach exceptional, high energy classes solo (A level) Sustain and increase registrations at sites Initiate, develop, and maintain friendly relationships with school staff and park parents Train coaches on‑site and lead coach trainings Fill‑in for classes and demos (master cover) Saturday/Sunday/Weeknight availability for public program classes Highly organized Commitment to the mission of Soccer Shots Ability to consistently exhibit company’s Core Values and exceed expectations Exceptional interpersonal communication skills Exceptional writing skills Creative problem solver Commitment to develop, improve, and grow daily Highly self‑motivated and interested in a professional business opportunity Thrive in all environments and be noticed by others Physical/Work Environment Requirements The job is full‑time, 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 8:00‑17:00 (may include evenings/weekends). It requires physical activity, moderate noise, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, and ability to yell and loudly project voice. It also requires time in seated position at office. Program Objectives Be the best run, most popular, and most successful elective program offered in Central Indiana Have the best coaches, curriculum, and communication in the region Maintain reputation of excellence; measure via Net Promoter Score (NPS) survey each season Key Performance Measurable Prompt, reliable communication: respond within 8 hours to directors, teachers, parents; within 12 hours to franchise owners and support staff Run A level classes; run high quality sessions each week Hire and train new coaches who uphold standards of excellence Mentor existing full‑time/lead coaches to complete training Coach evaluations completed twice per season (eight per year) Coach check‑ins/pulse twice per season Eight school visits per week All sessions fully staffed; coaches at A/B level prior to season start Season schedules confirmed four weeks prior to start Coach 25 sessions per week for up to 48 weeks per year Adhere to budget guidelines and company policies 80% green scorecard and 80% rock completion each quarter Program Performance Evaluation and Reviews Coaching evaluations may occur each season or multiple times per season without notice. Quarterly/seasonal evaluations may be performed for Director of Coaching; yearly review required.
