About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior General Counsel to provide comprehensive legal support to its medical staff and physicians. The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of legal issues, including but not limited to, credentialing, bylaws, and reports to the National Practitioner’s Data Bank. This role also involves supporting the faculty physician group on various legal matters and, where applicable, partnering with the University of Oklahoma legal department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment law and litigation, with experience in both a law firm and in-house legal department, and a preference for those with a background in healthcare and experience working with healthcare providers. Applicants for the Senior General Counsel position at the company should have a current attorney license and bar affiliation in the State of Oklahoma or the ability to obtain a license to practice in the State within twelve months. The role requires a professional with a strong academic background, at least 3-10+ years of experience, and a deep understanding of the legal issues specific to the healthcare industry. The Senior General Counsel will be a key member of the legal team, providing expert legal advice and support to the medical staff and physicians, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The position demands a high level of professionalism, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to the values and mission of the organization.
