Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $19.33–$24.50 DOE

What You'll Do as a Billing Technician

• Create, maintain, and update client financial charts
• Prepare, review, and submit claims to Medicaid, Medicare, and private insurance
• Verify diagnoses, billing codes, and claim accuracy
• Post account changes and update billing systems
• Process manual claims when electronic submission isn't available
• Enter non-clinical financial data such as rent, co-pays, and court fees
• Research and resolve billing issues or liability questions
• Respond to client and payer inquiries

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years of clerical, secretarial, billing, or accounting experience
• Strong computer and data-entry skills
• Detail-oriented and able to multitask
• Experience with third-party payer systems preferred
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing.
