Class C Truck Driver

Class C Truck DriverSURESTAFF is immediately hiring a Class C Truck Driver for client in Itasca, IL. As a Class C Truck Driver, you will be responsible for loading and unloading goods from the warehouse into/ off your truck and then transporting the load. Candidates must have 6 months of truck driving experience and must have a Class C Drivers License. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! This is a temp to hire position.Positions Available: 1st Shift: 10:00am - 6:30pm (M-F) with rotating Saturdays Flexible start time (6am-10am) Pay: $20/HRResponsibilities:Pick-up loads, organize goods in the truck, and secure packages.Transport pallet goods and packages from place of origin to assigned destination.Obtain signatures or warehouse scans to confirm and complete deliveries with clients.Communicate with dispatch and clients as needed.Maintain and service vehicles as needed (refuel, change oil, tire pressure, repairs, etc.)Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs.Track and report working hours.Adhere to company rules and regulations.Obey all applicable traffic laws and drive according to the weather/road conditions.Job Knowledge and Skills:High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.Valid Class C Driver’s license required.6+ months of driving a box truck is required.Clean driving record with no moving violations for the last 3 years.Experience operating warehouse equipment, such as electric lifts, hand trucks, and pallet jacks, a plus.Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, frequently push, pull, bend, and reach, and lift up to 49 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.About SurestaffAt Surestaff, we are dedicated to helping individuals unlock their career potential through meaningful job opportunities.
