Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Overview We have an immediate opening for an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician in Conyers, GA. Requirements Minimum 2-5 years' experience Electrical & Instrumentation support of industrial equipment Troubleshooting a variety of plant equipment Experience with troubleshooting motors and valves Physical agility PLC Programming experience is a plus (modifications only, no programming from scratch needed - Controllogix is used but any software is ok) Good computer skills such as Excel is a plus Electrical Experience within In an Industrial Setting - to include some of the following: Valves, Mortars, Instrumentation, 480 Volt, 4160 Volt Motors Main Duties Install, troubleshoot, and maintain a variety of plant equipment. Read technical manuals and efficiently operate motorized equipment. Apply safety protocols and maintain compliance with plant policies. Other duties Troubleshooting of variable speed drives - logic changes, hardware maintenance, and on-going drive system upgrades. System maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC's including program and logic changes, hardwareand software upgrades, system backups, etc. Troubleshooting and maintenance of valves. Thorough knowledge of pressure, flow, and temperature application is a must. Control valves are a plus. Perform capital project support on the Electrical and Controls side. Support of maintenance- will work with the maintenance department on all issues requiring engineering support. Call rotation is included - must be willing to be on call and have ability to reach location within an hour. Troubleshooting and system maintenance and upgrades of DCS system.
