Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor's degree in Radiation Therapy from an accredited program

AART Certification in Radiation Therapy

Valid Radiation Therapy state license, if required

2 years' experience as a radiation therapist

Current BLS Certification

Current Therapeutic Radiology license issued by the state of California

Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certificate

3 years of experience in radiation oncology

Demonstrated skill using radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators, simulators, dosimetry, and block cutting

Experience with Elekta linac equipment

Assignment Details

• Shift hours: 0730-1600.
• Shift days: Monday-Friday.
• No weekends.
• No call.
• No float.

Location Highlights

Merced offers access to both city conveniences and outdoor destinations. The city is about 80 miles from Yosemite National Park and is served by the Altamont Corridor Express and Amtrak San Joaquins for regional travel. Downtown Merced features the Merced Multicultural Arts Center and Mainzer theater, while Lake Yosemite provides boating, fishing, and picnic areas roughly 8 miles from the city center. Merced also sits in California's San Joaquin Valley and offers a central location about 55 miles from Modesto and about 115 miles from Fresno.
