ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monday-Friday, 1st shift (Team Support 24/7) - Resume Required

The following description of work to be performed by this individual is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks. 

• Lead with Servant Leadership Characteristics
• Model and support the company’s vision and strategies
• Ensure that safety is always the number one priority at Alexandria Industries; promote and support a safe work environment and safety oriented culture by following all safety programs and guidelines
• Continuously build relationships throughout the department and company in order to best serve and support co-workers and employees
• Ensure the department has the tools and resources required to meet or exceed their departmental goals.
• Ensure departmental leadership is monitoring, maintaining, & communicating work center load levels.
• Work with the Plant Manager to:
  • Manage the department’s labor to align with the workload demand.
  • Monitor & manage manufacturing expenses to align with our cost of sales budget.
  • Meet or exceed departmental goals.
  • Capital requests and requirements.
• Provide leadership to department team members:
  • Communicate priorities and project assignments
  • Develop and implement adequate cross-training
  • Provide continuing education, training and development opportunities
  • Provide coaching to employees to support their growth within their position and the company
  • Ensure expectations and responsibilities are known and followed
  • Monitor employee performance and assist with employee performance reviews.
  • One on One meetings with departmental leadership
  • Frequent departmental employee meetings
  • Delegate special projects
• Participate in the interviewing and selection process for department openings as needed
• Identify and implement methods for reducing costs and expenses in the department with a futuristic approach.
• Review and analyze department data and trends to make continuous improvement recommendations.
• Partner with the appropriate departments to manage work schedules
• Respond to emergency situations during and after standard hours to resolve issues that may arise
• Set & define yearly departmental goals
• Prepare for and participate in the development and preparation of capital requisition projects

• Partner with various managers and teams to continuously analyze and ensure the quality of aluminum extrusions meets Company/Customer standards
• Support and improve quality systems and expectations
• Partner with other Alexandria Industries facilities to manage workload, labor, best practices, & transfer work.
• Review and submit employee time sheets bi-weekly and PTO requests as needed
• Plan and prepare yearly merit increases based upon the approved budget (Including departmental leadership & HR)
• Willingness to learn and understand all functional areas within the department.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Experience:

• Servant leadership experience (required)
• CNC machining experience (helpful)

1. Other required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
   • Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
   • Ability to recognize & correct safety concerns
   • Strong written and verbal communication skills
   • Ability to provide strong servant leadership to support team members
   • Ability to take part in continuous education and training

   • Ability to maintain professionalism and composure in every situation
   • Strong knowledge and understanding of the manufacturing operational flow

The anticipated pay range for this position is $80,000 - $119.616 annual. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job- related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
