Schedule: Monday-Friday Start Time: Midnight-4:00 AM Home Daily | Typical 8-hour workday
Position Summary
Toft Dairy is seeking a dependable CDL Class A Delivery Driver to safely deliver and unload milk, ice cream, and other dairy products to customers locations. This is a local route position where drivers return home daily while representing Ohio's oldest dairy.
The ideal candidate is safety-focused, customer-oriented, and committed to delivering products accurately and on time.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a CDL Class A truck on assigned local delivery routes
- Deliver dairy products to retail, food service, and customer locations
- Load and unload products using pallet jacks and hand carts
- Verify delivery quantities and complete required paperwork
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company policies
- Handle products according to food safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and professional vehicle appearance
- Provide excellent customer service at all delivery locations
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license
- Current DOT medical card
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Experience operating a 10-speed manual transmission required
- Strong safety record and attention to detail
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Good communication and customer service skills
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, and move products weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Push and pull loaded pallet jacks and hand carts
- Climb in and out of truck throughout the day
- Work in refrigerated environments and varying weather conditions
- Perform physical delivery work in a fast-paced environment
