From delivering safe drinking water and treating wastewater responsibly to developing sustainable water supplies and protecting lives and property through flood control, your work will directly support public health, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure resilience. This isn’t just a job, it's a chance to lead change, drive progress, and leave a lasting legacy.In the role of Water/Wastewater Engineer, we'll count on you to: Take responsibility for performing complex assignments exercising judgment in evaluation, selection and modification of standard engineering techniques and proceduresMake decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as neededFunction as technical specialist or project manager on mid-size projects as neededSupervise small staff of professionals and technicians as neededPerform other duties as needed#LI-MV3QualificationsRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or related engineering fieldsA minimum of 3 years experience executing technical studies, analyses, and/or designing and creating plans and specifications for water focused projectsRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Ability to make independent decisions and be accountable for the resultsSelf-motivated, able to work independently and with a project team to completion of a taskAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We BelieveHDR is our company.
