Details Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department setting Day shift schedule: 7:00AM-7:30PM 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts Every other weekend required Rotating holiday coverage required Uses Epic for charting Requirements Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temp license accepted) BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (American Heart Association) Minimum three years of relevant nursing experience ASN required, BSN preferred Epic charting experience required Level 1 Trauma experience required Additional Information Assumes responsibility for a designated group of ED patients, utilizing the nursing process and current clinical trends Performs initial patient assessments and develops individualized care plans in collaboration with providers, patients, and families Implements and modifies care plans based on continuous patient evaluation Maintains accurate, up-to-date documentation of patient care Promotes patient and staff safety by identifying, reporting, and correcting hazards Collaborates with staff, patients, and families to maintain a healthy work environment Offers constructive feedback to support peer professional development Classified as a high-risk department assignment Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (no local candidates) RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract American Traveler Job ID P-768386.
