About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery experience License: Active RN License Certifications: - AWHONN Intermediate or CEFM - ACLS - BLS - NRP Must-Have: - Care of the laboring patient - Care of the newborn immediately after delivery - Circulate and recover C/S patients Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery. The unit has a total of 12 beds and maintains a patient ratio of 1:2. Staffing includes RNs, unit secretaries, and OR techs. Equipment includes a documentation system, CPN, and Meditach. RNs are required to work 3 weekend shifts and 1 call shift. Additional call shifts are required for techs. RNs will perform vaginal deliveries, C-sections, D&C, cerclage, epidural anesthesia, and tub labor. Advanced skills in the care of laboring patients and newborns are necessary. Unit secretaries and tech availability support staff needs. The facility promotes shared decision-making for patient experience. Scrubs must be Ceil Blue, Navy Blue, or Gray.
