And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.Lockheed Martin is designing, developing, and delivering a next-gen wideband MILSATCOM system comprised of integrated space and ground segments that will provide enhanced communications capacity, flexibility and resiliency.This position will lead the Wideband MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) team in support of the design, development, production, integration, test and delivery of the satellites and ground system. This includes leading efforts to:• Maintain and manage the requirements baseline• Maintain and manage the system test plan and integration efforts• Maintain and manage the system architecture model and associated artifacts and design description documents• Establish and track Program Technical Performance Measures (TPMs)• Conduct systems engineering technical and readiness reviews• Lead the verification and validation planning and execution• Partner with the program manager, Chief engineer, other IPT leads to enable successful program execution.• Establish and promote the necessary culture for program successThis position is contingent on program award expected in 3Q 2026Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. For positions that perform IT responsibilities, use E646, Systems Engr-IT.Basic QualificationsBachelors Degree in Engineering-related field15 years of Systems Engineering Experience across a range of programs and lifecycle phasesStrong systems integration experienceExperience with working either Communications programs (or programs that have communications as a key aspect of the overall mission)Experience working Space programs that include Satellite and GroundExperience with both program and functional leadershipStrong communication skillsExperience with Digital Engineering and/or MBSEDemonstrated understanding of Risk and Opportunity ManagementExperience across multiple program lifecycle phasesPossess Secret Clearance; able to get SCI clearanceDesired SkillsMasters Degree in Engineering20+ years of experienceAbility to influence cross functional teams, resolve conflicts, and present technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience as Chief System Engineer or Chief Engineer through the entire lifecycle of a development programDevelopment program management experienceRecognized as an authority in the implementation of System Engineering processes and command media, with the demonstrated ability to apply them to a wide range of sophisticated problems and train others in their applicationSW Development, Integration, and testing experience (to include requirements and interface definition)Experience with Digital, RF, and Optical TechnologiesExperience with baseline management and change control processesFixed-price contract execution experienceExperience implementing Model-Based System Engineering (MBSE) on a development programExperience as a leader of leadersActive TS/SCI clearanceProficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice#SpaceNSSPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $198400.00 - $368400.00At Lockheed Martin, we know mission success starts with taking care of our people.
