Physical Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Under the direction of the Director of Physical Therapy, the Physical Therapist is responsible for directing physical therapy services, coordinating department operations, and administering prescribed physical agents. They will maintain performance improvement activities within the department and engage in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities, ensuring personnel competency. The Physical Therapist will assist in formulating budgets and managing department charges to ensure financial compliance while upholding regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate professional behavior and foster positive working relationships with patients, visitors, and facility staff.
• Organize and manage time efficiently.
• Compile and analyze data using Microsoft Office Applications.
• Conduct assessments and provide appropriate treatment plans for patients across various age groups.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain department cleanliness, safety, and proper operation of equipment.
• Participate in training personnel and conducting departmental staff evaluations.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation and billing for services rendered.
• Develop and implement teaching plans based on patient needs, involving family members as appropriate.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Three (3) or more years of experience in physical therapy preferred.
• Current California licensure or certification as a physical therapist.
• Knowledge of physical therapy modalities, anatomy, physiology, and disease processes.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and communication skills.
