Our portfolio of national and super-regional brands and licensed products includes Hood, Heluva Good, Lactaid, Blue Diamond Almond Breeze, Planet Oat and more.Job Summary:Plans, coordinates, and directs quality assurance program designed to ensure quality production of products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.Work Schedule: M-F 7:30am to 5:00pm; Some weekends/off-shift hours required based on business need.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:• Formulates and maintains quality assurance objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.• Interprets quality assurance philosophy to key personnel in organization.• Performs quality engineering reviews of design documentation for compliance with stated requirements, including vendor quality manuals and company quality records.• Applies statistical process control (SPC) methods for analyzing data to evaluate the current process and process changes.• Decides whether to accept a product or continue business with a vendor based on a review by the quality assurance engineer.• Reviews all data obtained during all quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.• Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.• Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.• Prepares and presents technical and program information to the management team.• Directs technical and administrative workers engaged in quality assurance activities.• Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality assurance codes and standards.• Plays an active role on quality management teams within the organization.• Develops a culture of proactive qualityEducation and Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology or Dairy Science is preferred or, equivalent experience in dairy processing and quality assurance.• Minimum of two years training and experience in dairy manufacturing• Supervisory experience• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.Skills and Competencies:• Customer focus• Job Knowledge• Communication• Interpersonal Skills• Problem Solving• Results Focused• Sense of Urgency• Leadership• Quality and Continuous Improvement• Food Safety, Quality & Regulatory#LI-GD1 #LI-OnsiteExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.The pay range for this position is$101,800—$116,900 USDHP Hood is an Equal Opportunity EmployerFemale/Minority/Veteran/Disabled"VERVRAA Federal Contractor"Privacy PolicyCCPAFor Applicants in Massachusetts - It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
