Blood Mobile Driver 2

Inova Blood Donor Services, located at 45745 Nokes Blvd, Sterling, VA 20166, is looking for a dedicated Blood Mobile Driver 2 to join the team! This role will be full-time, Shift and days vary due to blood drives (3-4 shifts per week- Shift: 10-12 hours- required to work some weekends and some holidays) . Will load our vehicles and drive to our blood drives. Blood drives can be anywhere in the DMV area. During blood drive will document and pack blood products. Once blood drive is done, load supplies and equipment back onto vehicle and drive back to Sterling donor center to unload.

Blood Mobile Driver 2 Job Responsibilities:

\n
• Drives all Inova Health System Blood Services vehicles including, but not limited to, large box trucks, bloodmobiles and vans to blood drive locations anywhere within 60 miles of Washington D.C.
\n
• Assists the Team Leaders with maintaining drive operations and participates as an integral member of the team.
\n
• Maintains vehicle records and documents, ensures that all vehicles are in good driving condition to assure safety and continuity of operations.
\n
• Remains compliant with all Inova, IBDS and DMV policies/procedures and assisting QA specialists in performing cooler validation is required.
\n
• Follows all traffic laws and regulations.
\n
• Pack blood products during blood drives. IBDS will provide proper PPE training and bloodborne pathogens training.

Minimum Qualifications: 

\n
• Minimum Education:  High School diploma or GED equivalent.
\n
• Years of Experience: 2 years of commercial driving experience with a good driving record
\n
• Certifications:  Commercial Driver's License A or B, Valid Commercial Driver's License Class B  
\n

Preferred Qualifications: 

\n
• Will handle blood products with proper PPE
\n
• Will be on our mobile blood drives and will have some interaction with our blood donors 
\n
• Essential personnel employee
