Soleil Server - AM Shifts - Part Time at Marriott SD Gaslamp Quarter

Marriott San Diego Gaslamp is seeking an experienced server to join their team! This position is part-time and pays $17.75 per hour.

Candidates must be able to work 6:00am to 12pm both Saturdays and Sundays and additional days as needed including holidays.

Job duties:

• Greet the guests, take all food and beverage orders
• Follow all brand standards set forth by Marriott Brand Standards
• Follow standard operating procedures for servers
• Answer restaurant calls as needed
• Upsell food and beverage
• Bus tables as needed
• Deliver food
• Ensure cleanliness in your station
• Maintain a clean dining area at all times
• Responsible for receiving all payments and proper cash, CC and Room Charge procedures
• Perform necessary opening/closing and side work duties
• Prepare food items for guests such as dishing up oatmeal, soup, making toast, dinner salads, bread, etc.
• Run food
• Ensure all equipment is in operational order and all supplies are up to par
• Report equipment that needs repair or supplies that need to be ordered
• Be familiar with the operating procedures of all other areas of the hotel, cooperating fully and in a friendly manner with those areas to assure customer satisfaction
• Be a team player and encourage the teamwork attitude among staff
• Attend department and inter-departmental meetings
• Notify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities
• Be knowledgeable in all hotel emergency procedures
• Ensure areas are free of safety hazards and performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner
• Ensure total guest satisfaction
• Follow supervisor's instructions and perform other duties as directed or assigned
• Be knowledgeable regarding hotel activities including groups in house and VIP guests

Job requirements:

• At least 1 year customer service experience preferred
• Prior experience as a server required, preferably in a fast-paced environment
• Micros systems knowledge a plus
• Must be able to pass drug screening and background check
