Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Labor and Delivery nursing, with at least two years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to women during labor and delivery.
• Monitor maternal and fetal health throughout the labor process.
• Assist with deliveries and coordinate care among medical staff.
• Educate patients and their families on labor and delivery procedures, as well as postpartum care.
• Document patient information accurately and consistently in electronic health records.

Work Schedule

• Days: 3 shifts of 12 hours (07:00 - 19:00)
• Weekend Requirement: 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week schedule.

Unit Information

This position is in a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center with a total of 181 staff beds. The nursing staff is required to wear navy scrubs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing.
• Proficiency in using EPIC electronic health records.
• Ability to work as part of a team and effectively communicate with patients and families.

Parking and Facilities

Parking is available at no cost in any unrestricted space, with bike racks provided for those who prefer to bike to work.

Additional Information

This role does not require on-call availability and does not involve block scheduling. Candidates should be flexible and ready to adapt to the demands of the unit.
