Medical Assistant/LPN

Responsibilities & Requirements Under the supervision of the provider and/or practice manager, the position involves:Assisting and delivering patient care duties.Providing administrative support throughout the practice.Assisting the provider during patient examinations and treatments.Performing various delegated tasks under the direction of the provider.Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, and accurately recording patient information in charts.Preparing treatment rooms for patient examinations.Cross-training to perform a range of duties to enhance efficiency and ensure continuity in patient care delivery. Qualifications Medical Assistant (MA) / Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)Current Medical Assistant certification/registration such as CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA (AMT)ORCompletion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program or an accredited MA program, with successful certification/registration within 15 months of hire.Note: Medical Assistants who are not certified or registered at the time of hire will be restricted from administering medication and entering Epic orders until credentials are obtained and verified.Examples include:MAs with only on-the-job trainingMAs who completed an accredited program but have not passed the certification examMAs with lapsed or expired certificationSTNAs or CNAs with at least 6 months of direct patient care experienceLicensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Graduate of an accredited LPN program (or equivalent)Current valid Ohio LPN license
