PCU Registered Nurse – Travel Assignment

Position Overview

• ICU: 16 beds
• Unit Beds/Rooms: 25
• Daily Census: Approximately 24
• Charting: EPIC
• Scrub Color: Navy
• Parking: Free
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• Travel Experience: Required

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Community hospital experience required
• Previous charge RN experience preferred
• Experience caring for a 1:5 patient ratio
• EPIC/charting experience required

Certifications

Required:

• BLS
• ACLS
• NIHSS

Preferred:

• CPI

Schedule & Staffing

• Shift: As assigned by unit
• Call: Not required
• Block Scheduling: Not available
• Holiday: Holiday shifts may be required
• Charge: Charge RN assignments may be required as needed
• Floating: Required. Travelers may float between departments, units, and facilities based on facility needs.
• Travelers must have both Kansas and Missouri licenses, or a compact license, in hand at submission due to potential floating requirements.

Weekend Requirement

The job posting contains two different weekend requirements:

• Initial job details state 8 weekend shifts during Saint Luke’s 6-week schedule period , consisting of a combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday.
• The detailed scheduling section states a minimum of 4 weekend shifts in 6 weeks .

This should be confirmed with the facility before presenting the assignment to a traveler.

Time Off / RTO

• Maximum 7 days of RTO for the Aya offer.
• RTO exceeding 7 days must be submitted for approval.
• All RTO must be finalized at submission.
• No new RTO requests after submission.
• No additional schedule requests may be made after offer or onsite.

Local / Radius Rule

• Local candidates are not accepted within 75 miles of the facility.
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility .
• No local travelers are accepted, with the exception of:
  • Patient Care Technicians
  • Certified Nursing Assistants
  • Medical Assistants

Guaranteed Hours

The posting lists:

• 3 shifts per 13 weeks , with canceled shifts needing to be the regular shift length assigned to the contractor.
