Other duties may include:Mentor and train IC1 to IC4 Stress AnalystsPerform technical reviews of vendor and internal Stress Analysis Reports Coordinate with Systems Engineering on verification tasksCoordinate with Loads & Dynamics on component and structures environmentsSupport manufacturing & test anomaly/discrepancy investigations Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.Basic QualificationsA bachelor’s degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering or equivalentExpertise in stress analysis, statics and dynamicsExperience performing stress analysis for NASA’s Orion programKnowledge of human rated structural verification requirementsProven experience delivering structural analysis reports to certify a human rated spacecraftExperience performing analysis of composite structuresExperience with NASA’s Fracture Control systemDesired SkillsExperience developing advanced technological ideas and guiding their development into a final productHardware experience, including design, analysis, assembly, Integration and TestProven experience performing stress analysis of Orion’s Launch Abort SystemKnowledgeable of, and possesses experience with, NASA’s Artemis Program components and organizational structureExperience supporting proof and acceptance testing of composite hardware to meet Orion program requirementsExperience using FEMAP, NASTRAN, and NASGROExperience using EPDM WindchillExcellent verbal/written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences.Pay InformationGeoZone Definition: GeoZones are geographic groupings created by Lockheed Martin to align compensation ranges with regional labor markets and cost-of-labor differences across the United States.
