Job Description


Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced Shipping & Receiving Lead for a full-time, 1st Shift opportunity. This position is responsible for supporting and overseeing daily inbound and outbound shipping operations , maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring materials are received, staged, and shipped correctly.


We are seeking an experienced warehouse professional with a minimum of 3 years of shipping and receiving experience , strong forklift skills, and the ability to work effectively in a physically demanding warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate accurate inbound and outbound shipments .
• Receive incoming materials and verify shipments for accuracy.
• Unload, sort, stock, stage, and organize incoming products and materials.
• Prepare, stage, and load outgoing orders for shipment.
• Verify quantities, products, labels, and shipping documentation.
• Maintain accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Enter and update shipment information using shipping and receiving computer systems.
• Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use scales, wrapping equipment, and labeling equipment to prepare shipments.
• Ensure materials are properly packaged, labeled, and staged.
• Maintain an organized, efficient, and safe shipping and receiving area.
• Assist with general warehouse and material handling responsibilities as needed.
• Follow established warehouse procedures and safety requirements.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of shipping and receiving experience required.
• Previous warehouse and material handling experience required.
• Forklift experience required.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.
• Comfortable using shipping and receiving computer systems.
• Familiarity with scales, wrapping, and labeling equipment.
• Strong inventory control and documentation skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and order accuracy.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.

Physical Requirements


This is a physically demanding warehouse position . Candidates must be able to:

• Lift and handle materials weighing 50-100 pounds.
• Stand for periods of up to 4 hours at a time .
• Frequently lift, bend, reach, and handle materials throughout the shift.
• Safely load, unload, stage, and move warehouse materials.
• Perform hands-on warehouse duties in addition to shipping and receiving documentation.

Shifts & Hours


1st Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

• Full-Time
• Overtime as needed

Pay & Benefits

• $22.00 - $24.00 per hour , dependent on prior experience.
• Weekly pay through Express Employment Professionals.
