Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer

Seeking a highly experienced Senior Linux Infrastructure Engineer for a remote contract position, who will manage the design, administration, and troubleshooting of large-scale Linux infrastructure with a focus on bare metal servers and enterprise storage. Key responsibilities Administer and troubleshoot expert-level Linux systems, particularly Ubuntu, while ensuring optimal performance of bare metal server deployments Design and manage enterprise Linux infrastructure, including advanced storage solutions such as LVM, NFS, and Ceph Implement and maintain high availability, clustering, and disaster recovery strategies across the infrastructure Required qualifications Extensive experience in traditional Linux administration, specifically with bare metal infrastructure Strong understanding of server hardware components and troubleshooting techniques Proficiency in advanced Linux storage administration and Ceph cluster management Solid networking knowledge, including VLANs, routing, and DNS Experience with Bash and Python scripting for automation tasks
