Physical Therapist, Inpatient

Up to $7,500 in relocation assistance for qualified applicants. What You'll Need B.S., M.S., or D.P.T. degree from an accredited physical therapy school. Current licensure in the state of application. CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C. What You'll Do Adhere to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships, and team building while following hospital and departmental policies. Provide patient care assessment and treatment, ensuring evaluations are comprehensive, functional, and in line with the Standard of Practice; interpret results, establish acceptable treatment plans with realistic goals, encourage patients and significant others in goal setting, recognize and respond to changes in the patient's physiologic state, recommend next level of care, ensure quality outcomes, and supervise support staff. Maintain accurate documentation: completed patient evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes; record patient/family education, charges, departmental statistics, and ICD‑10 codes; maintain patient records in a systematic order; ensure documentation is legible. Meet department financial and productivity standards, understand budget expectations, maintain productivity, adjust individual schedules to meet patient and department needs. Participate in process management to improve quality and efficiency, identify opportunities, communicate barriers, research and recommend evidence‑based best practices. Promote professional development and education of other health care workers, provide representation on committees, conduct in‑service training, stay updated on changes at local, state, and national levels, share clinical expertise. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers; respond to staff questions; promote open communication; inform supervisor of issues and resolutions; ensure patient and family understanding. Provide appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines, demonstrate age/developmentally specific knowledge and skills, interpret responses, maintain competence by updating knowledge. Skills and Qualifications Effectively communicate with physicians, nurses, other health care providers to deliver quality patient care. Communicate with patients of all ages and significant others appropriately. Possess knowledge, clinical skills, and understanding of the patient throughout the entire span of life. Benefits Compensation: Base pay within the $38.20 – $57.30 range, premium pay such as shift and on‑call, incentive pay for select positions, annual increases based on performance.
