Montefiore Medical Center, Department of Anesthesiology is in search of a full-time Board-Certified Anesthesiologist to join their leadership team as Division Director of Endoscopy Services. The Department of Gastrointestinal services encompasses 3 campuses and has a busy practice with more growth potential to be realized. An innovative individual with change management skills is needed to mitigate problems in a professional manner, while achieving the goals of the division. The Division Director will impart scientific leadership and clinical oversight in a challenging environment. This opportunity allows the individual to assert an independent management style to cultivate the growth of the service and it impact on the community. The Director of Gastrointestinal Services reports to the Chair of the Department of Anesthesiology. Responsibilities Standardize the day-to-day oversight of anesthesia services on 3 campusesCreate a process of preoperative assessment for gastrointestinal patients in need of anesthetic servicesCreate an equitable anesthesia workflow for GI services at all campuses.Help create a business plan to be used for expansion of GI servicesInterface with the leadership of GI services and nursing to create an efficient daily workflowSupervision of CRNAs and residentsEducation of resident staff in area of GI Anesthesiology including practice managementParticipate in team science to support professional and clinical advancement of faculty in your division Maintain NORA Guidelines for staffing equipment and suppliesEducate department in advancements for GI Anesthesia processesSupport and conduct research in advancement of GI Anesthesiology processesSupport the Departments goals for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion practices What We Offer Competitive salary, proportional RVU incentives to clinical activity, and faculty rank commensurate with experience Generous benefits package including 403b w/ employer match, 457b, tuition reimbursement, LTD & Life InsuranceDivisional and departmental support of career advancement, both academic and clinicalGenerous CME package Requirements MD, DO or foreign equivalent B/C in Anesthesiology Minimum of five years experience New York state medical license Demonstration of leadership abilitiesDemonstration of DEI activities impacting healthcare and the community Montefiore Medical Center is a tertiary and quaternary care center in Bronx, NY and is the university hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
