SUMMARY

Our client is a Miami-based personal injury law firm focused on representing individuals and families in serious and catastrophic injury matters. The firm handles complex personal injury litigation, including maritime and cruise ship injuries, wrongful death, medical malpractice, premises liability, product liability, and other high-value negligence claims. They are seeking a Personal Injury Litigation Attorney with 3-10 years of experience to join the firm's Miami team. The ideal candidate will have strong personal injury litigation experience on either the plaintiff or defense side, with experience in maritime and/or medical malpractice considered a strong plus.

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3-10 years of experience practicing personal injury law

- Experience representing either plaintiffs or defendants in personal injury litigation

- Strong litigation background with experience handling cases through various stages of the litigation process

- Maritime/admiralty and/or medical malpractice experience strongly preferred

- Experience with catastrophic injury, wrongful death, or other complex/high-value injury matters is a plus

- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and case-management skills

- Excellent communication and client-management abilities

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff

- Must be admitted to practice law in Florida, or otherwise meet the firm's requirements for the position

- Must be located in South Florida; Miami is preferred

- Must be comfortable working 100% in-office

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Manage and litigate personal injury matters from case inception through settlement or trial

- Analyze liability, damages, medical records, and other evidence to develop case strategy

- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and other legal documents

- Handle discovery, including drafting and responding to discovery requests

- Take and defend depositions

- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, insurance carriers, experts, and other parties

- Prepare cases for mediation, arbitration, settlement, and trial

- Assist with trial preparation and courtroom proceedings

- Investigate complex personal injury and catastrophic injury claims

- Evaluate settlement opportunities and develop litigation strategies focused on achieving favorable outcomes
