Job Title: CMM Programmer

Location: Columbus, GA Onsite

Job Summary:

The CMM Programmer will develop, edit, and validate CMM programs and perform dimensional inspection of complex, tight-tolerance components in a precision manufacturing environment. The role will support aerospace components, FAI, GD&T, measurement validation, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, edit, and validate complex CMM programs using Camio software
Operate and program LK/Nikon CMM equipment for dimensional inspection
Perform dimensional inspection of complex precision components such as blades, vanes, disks, rings, cases, and seals
Interpret engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, GD&T, and technical specifications
Conduct First Article Inspection (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 requirements
Generate accurate and traceable inspection reports and measurement results
Perform CMM program validation, dry runs, correlation studies, and repeatability checks
Troubleshoot measurement issues related to fixturing, part geometry, machine capability, and setup
Support root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain revision control of CMM programs, fixtures, and inspection documentation
Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Machining, and Engineering teams

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field
2 5+ years of CMM Programming or Metrology experience in precision manufacturing
Strong experience with Camio, PC-DMIS/Hexagon, Calypso, or similar CMM software
Hands-on experience with LK, Nikon, or comparable CMM equipment
Strong knowledge of GD&T, blueprint reading, and 3D CAD/model interpretation
Experience with tight-tolerance and complex metal components
Knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, FAI, SPC, and MSA
Aerospace, engine components, MRO, or precision manufacturing experience is preferred
Experience with MBD and digital inspection workflows is a plus
Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills
Must be willing to work onsite in Columbus, GA
