Medical Oncology Physician

Overview When you join us, you’ll become a part of a nationally recognized health system dedicated to our mission of “helping people live the healthiest lives possible.” About this role: As a Medical Oncology Physician in Oncology, at Intermountain Health in Southern Nevada you will work with a dedicated, tight-knit team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and an excellent patient experience. In this role you will provide care to oncology/hematology patients, including outpatient and inpatient consultations, diagnosing diseases, and implementing a course of treatment. This position supports value-based care in a market serving a large Medicare Advantage population. The team consists of 2 medical assistants, 3 nurses, 3 support staff, and Oncology Nurse Navigators to support patients during their treatment. You will work with established physicians and advanced practice providers. Those with strong community oncology experience with a clinic emphasis are encouraged to apply. There is an opportunity to participate in clinical research moving forward. Responsibilities Provide outpatient and inpatient consultations for oncology/hematology patients. Diagnose diseases and develop treatment plans. Deliver care in a value-based care setting for a large Medicare Advantage population. Collaborate with a care team including physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and support staff. Participate in clinical research opportunities as they arise. What you’ll bring: MD or DO degree from a fully accredited medical or osteopathic school of medicine Residency training in Hematology/Oncology or Medical Oncology Board certification or eligibility in Oncology Active, unobstructed Nevada medical license, or the ability to obtain one Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process Candidates requiring visa sponsorship accepted About us: Intermountain Health is a model health system providing extraordinary care and superior service at an affordable cost.
