Compensation : $60,000-$70,000 annual salary

Job Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and coordinating customer product deliveries and job site hauling operations to ensure timely, efficient, and cost-effective service. This role serves as the primary communication hub between internal teams, drivers, customers, and third-party vendors while supporting operational excellence across North Texas distribution and hauling operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Delivery & Dispatch Management

• Plan, schedule, and oversee customer product deliveries.
• Coordinate job site hauling activities to meet project timelines and service expectations.
• Monitor daily dispatch operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance with company policies.
• Adjust schedules in real time to accommodate delays, changes, and urgent requests.
• Optimize routes and maximize asset utilization, including coordinating backhauls when possible.

Vendor & Driver Coordination

• Build and maintain strong relationships with third-party hauling vendors.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor coordination and communication.
• Ensure company-owned drivers have the support and resources needed for successful operations.

Billing & Cost Control

• Review and approve vendor invoices related to hauling and delivery services.
• Verify accuracy of billing, rates, and completed services.

Team Leadership & Communication

• Supervise dispatch staff and drivers.
• Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback.
• Maintain communication between operations, sales, dispatch, and field personnel.
• Communicate delivery timelines and updates clearly with customers.
• Participate in safety meetings and provide operational direction to drivers.

Administrative & Operational Oversight

• Approve driver schedules and time-off requests.
• Manage PODs (Proof of Delivery) and driver paperwork.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, delivery records, and vendor documentation.
• Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Utilize dispatch and logistics systems to track routes, loads, and driver activity.
• Assist with transportation permitting for out-of-state deliveries.
• Support vehicle incident reporting and documentation procedures.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience in dispatch, logistics, or transportation operations.
• Experience coordinating drivers, schedules, and high-volume workloads.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and transportation safety practices.
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
• Valid driver's license required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in construction, hauling, recycling, or aggregate industries.
• Experience supervising drivers or dispatch teams.
• Familiarity with transportation permitting requirements.
• CDL knowledge or operational exposure preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.

Work Environment / Schedule

Current Schedule: Typically Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with availability expected between 6:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Saturday availability may be required if loads are scheduled, though office presence is typically not required unless needed.
Environment: Combination of office and outdoor operational environments, including exposure to heat, cold, dust, and noise.
Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
• Frequent communication via phone, computer, and radio systems.
• Ability to walk the yard and interact with drivers and equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
