Position Summary The Cook creates memorable food experiences that exceed guest expectations while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. As a key member of our culinary team, they prepare fresh, flavorful dishes that bring people together. They will be an avid MadTree ambassador who lives the behaviors Connect, Grow, and Give a F*ck. Status: Part Time Shifts: Must have availability matching status type. Availability can include a mix of weekday, weekends, days, and nights. Compensation Range: $16 per hour plus tips Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare and execute menu items including pizzas, nachos, sandwiches, and salads. Operate and maintain key equipment including pizza ovens, conveyor ovens, flattop grills, fryers, and food processors. Handle specialized tools including pizza peels, dough dockers, and portion scales. Maintain consistent quality standards in presentation and taste. Follow recipes and portion controls accurately. Operate in multiple kitchen stations including prep, pizza, sandwich, and expo. Practice proper food handling and storage procedures. Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of all kitchen equipment. Maintain clean and organized work stations. Support prep tasks and kitchen projects as needed. Communicate effectively with kitchen and service team members. Monitor food quality and freshness. Execute opening and closing duties as assigned. Maintain knowledge of allergens and dietary restrictions. Assist with the preparation, cooking, and plating of food, according to recipes and specifications for Private Events of up to 300 people. Practice proper safety and sanitation procedures. Participate in training and knowledge development programs. Be ready and willing to help with other kitchen duties as needed. Spend time volunteering (paid) for MadTree Impact initiatives with excitement, encouraging your teammates to do the same. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform essential duties, accountabilities, and responsibilities satisfactorily. High School Diploma or GED. 1+ year kitchen experience preferred. Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays. Reliable transportation and excellent attendance record.
