Description

Are you a physician who strives to pave the way for residents to gain experience and knowledge to provide the best quality care? TeamHealth needs someone like you! We are looking for a nocturnist to join our academic team at Broward Health North in Pompano Beach, Florida. This position has a block schedule working 7pm to 7am where internal medicine residents round at night alongside our team.

No procedures are required, and we do not run codes or rapids. Academic experience is preferred but not required.

Known for calming breeze and clear waters, Pompano Beach, Florida is centrally located in Florida's famous Gold Coast and covers over 25 square miles in northern Broward County. The city has over 101,400 residents which rises to over 150,000 during the season, when part-time residents return to enjoy the sun. A newly developed pier with its iconic shade sails and fish shaped pier point make enjoying the sun and outdoors enticing. For divers, Pompano Beach is the "wreck capital" of South Florida with 18 wrecks to explore. Golfers can enjoy the Greg Norman Signature Pines Course along with the Palms Course, tennis players can match up at a professional tennis center with 16 lighted professional fast-dry clay courts and swimmers can enjoy the Aquatic Center located just a mile off the beach. Located in Deerfield Beach, Broward Health North is a 409-bed hospital that offers a full continuum of care featuring a comprehensive stroke center, an adult Level II Trauma Center, a neurological institute, a joint replacement center, cardiovascular services, as well as general, vascular, endovascular and neurosurgery. Broward Health North recently added a $78 million expansion to create a 53-bed, all private room, 36,000-square-foot emergency department with three dedicated trauma bays, six new operating rooms, and renovations to the hospital's main entrance.
