Paralegal (Onsite) - Falls Church, VA

A well-established boutique law firm in Falls Church, Virginia is seeking an experienced Paralegal to support attorneys in franchise, transactional, corporate, and litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented legal professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and handling a diverse range of responsibilities.

The Paralegal will work closely with attorneys and legal staff to support franchise regulatory matters, corporate transactions, contract management, and litigation activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.

Schedule: Full-time, generally Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Location: Falls Church, VA (Onsite)

Key Responsibilities

Franchise & Regulatory Support

• Assist with the preparation, review, filing, and management of franchise agreements, registrations, renewals, and amendments
• Support state and federal franchise registration processes
• Communicate with regulatory agencies and maintain compliance-related records
• Organize and maintain Franchise Disclosure Documents (FDDs) and related documentation

Contract Management

• Manage the full contract lifecycle from drafting through execution and renewal
• Track key contract deadlines and ensure timely follow-up
• Maintain contract databases and filing systems
• Assist in developing and improving contract management processes and procedures

Corporate & Transactional Matters

• Prepare franchise agreements, transfer documents, default notices, and termination notices
• Support mergers and acquisitions, due diligence reviews, and corporate transactions
• Assist with corporate governance documents, resolutions, and filings
• Prepare closing binders and related transaction documentation

Litigation Support

• Draft pleadings, discovery requests, and discovery responses
• File documents electronically through court filing systems
• Organize and manage litigation files and discovery materials
• Prepare exhibits for depositions, hearings, motions, and trials
• Conduct cite-checking and legal document review

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 3 years of paralegal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred

• Paralegal certificate
• Franchise law experience
• Experience supporting transactional and litigation matters

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 annually, depending on experience
