CMM Programmer

Dimension Analysis SpecialistWe are looking for a talented Dimension Analysis Specialist to join our esteemed manufacturing partner in Grove City, OH. This role entails creating and refining CMM programs, conducting first article and production inspections, and collaborating with Quality and Manufacturing departments to ensure accurate part production. The successful applicant should possess proficiency in ZEISS Calypso programming, strong knowledge of GD&T, and a proactive approach in a dynamic work environment.Responsibilities:Develop, refine, and uphold top-notch CMM programs utilizing ZEISS Calypso softwareProgram and assist in inspections using ZEISS Contura CMM machinery with various probe setupsValidate CMM programs, confirm results, and make adjustments to ensure accuracy and repeatabilityCreate inspection strategies and annotate engineering drawings for dimensional verificationDecipher blueprints, CAD models, tolerances, and GD&T specifications to construct effective inspection routinesEvaluate CMM reports, measurement data, and inspection trends to pinpoint issues and propose solutionsProvide assistance in First Article Inspections (FAI), PPAP, capability studies, and validation processes to meet quality standardsTroubleshoot dimensional discrepancies and collaborate with Machining, Engineering, and Quality teams on root cause analysisVerify fixture configurations, alignment methods, and probe techniques for intricate componentsEnsure measurement procedures are effective, consistent, and compliant with quality protocolsAid in reducing inspection time without compromising measurement accuracyMaintain orderly program revisions, documentation, and inspection recordsParticipate in calibration efforts and ensure proper usage of measuring equipment and gaugesOffer technical advice to inspectors, machinists, and production staff on measurement techniques and blueprint interpretationSuggest process enhancements to improve quality, efficiency, and manufacturabilityRequirements:Minimum of 3 years experience in ZEISS Calypso programmingExperience in CMM equipment programming and operation within a manufacturing settingProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings, and CAD dataThorough understanding of GD&T and dimensional metrology principlesFamiliarity with advanced inspection concepts such as profile tolerances, true position, MMC/LMC, and complex geometriesAbility to analyze inspection data and resolve dimensional or process-related challengesExcellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departmentsProven capability to manage tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of machining processes, particularly 4-axis and 5-axis milling, is a plusExperience in supporting FAI, PPAP, SPC, or capability studies is advantageousDetail-oriented with a strong dedication to accuracy and continuous improvement
