Description:

Start your nursing career with confidence through a 12 month-long Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program™, designed to support newly NY State Licensed RNs as they transition into clinical practice. As an RN Resident, you'll receive: mentorship from experienced nurses, peer support and collaboration, monthly interactive, evidence-based learning sessions, and hands-on experience in your chosen track. You'll build skills in clinical decision-making, leadership in patient care, evidence-based practice, and professional development planning. Eligibility: All newly NY State Licensed RN Residents with less than one year of experience are automatically enrolled. Cohorts start eight times per year.

Supervision: Team Leader, Clinical Coordinator, Unit Manager, Clinical Services/Nursing Admin

Pay Range: $38.75–$39.75/hr. (based on experience, education, and skills)

Education, Training, Experience, Certification and Licensure:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• RN Licensed in the State of New York and posted on Office of Professions.
• Maintains current BLS/CPR and ACLS certification.
• Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
