Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) | Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Location: Payson, AZ Pay Rate: $48/hour Position Type: 13 week contract Care Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) Shift Availability: M-F 8a-5p Job Summary Elite Medical Staffing is hiring Physical Therapists (PTs) for skilled nursing opportunities in Payson, AZ. Responsibilities An PTA working contract through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to: Utilize EMR to record patients’ medical information and vital signs Evaluate residents' physical function, strength, balance, mobility, and rehabilitation needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and functional independence Provide therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance training, and other skilled physical therapy interventions Recommend and train residents in the use of mobility aids, assistive devices, and other equipment as appropriate Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and goals Educate residents, families, and caregivers on exercises, mobility techniques, and fall prevention strategies Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and resident outcomes Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards Communicate concerns or issues to onsite supervisor and agency Other duties as assigned Qualifications Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active PTA license Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations Credentials Required Active and unencumbered AZ PTA License or Compact PT License Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport CPR/BLS Resume Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement About Elite Medical Staffing Elite Medical Staffing is a healthcare staffing agency connecting experienced nursing and allied healthcare professionals with flexible, high‑paying opportunities.
