Forklift Driver / Material Handler
Hours for this shift:
Monday- Friday 1:00P-11:30PM
Bema, Incorporated and Elite Extrusion Technology, a recognized leader in the flexible packaging industry, is looking for an experienced Forklift Driver/Material Handler with a proven track record in supporting a fast-paced organization. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to able to use a forklift and perform daily checks.
- Take material from dock area making sure all paperwork matches.
- Move finished goods from production floor in a timely manner.
- Issue supplies to the production area as needed.
- Assist in scrap removal.
- Operate scanner and assist in inventory counts.
- Maintain the cleanliness in the facility and follow Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
- Compliance to all company policies, regulations and procedures is required
- Perform other duties as directed by pressman, supervisor or management
- Helps ensure all policies for the company and the American Institute of Baking (AIB) are followed.
Requirements:
- High School graduate
- Good mechanical ability
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong reading, writing and math abilities
- Computer skills for inventory control
- Ability to work second shift and overtime
- Previous forklift and material handling experience
- Team Player
- Physically demanding position: long periods standing, bending, squatting, reaching and pulling. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
Salary for this position is based on, among other things, a candidate’s experience and qualifications. Bema offers a competitive compensation package including salary, paid vacation, bonus plan, 401K and comprehensive health and life insurance options. **Significant Shift Differential Premium Paid**
