Forklift Driver / Material Handler

Hours for this shift:

Monday- Friday 1:00P-11:30PM

Bema, Incorporated and Elite Extrusion Technology, a recognized leader in the flexible packaging industry, is looking for an experienced Forklift Driver/Material Handler with a proven track record in supporting a fast-paced organization. Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be able to able to use a forklift and perform daily checks.
• Take material from dock area making sure all paperwork matches.
• Move finished goods from production floor in a timely manner.
• Issue supplies to the production area as needed.
• Assist in scrap removal.
• Operate scanner and assist in inventory counts.
• Maintain the cleanliness in the facility and follow Good Manufacturing Practices at all times.
• Compliance to all company policies, regulations and procedures is required
• Perform other duties as directed by pressman, supervisor or management
• Helps ensure all policies for the company and the American Institute of Baking (AIB) are followed.

Requirements:

• High School graduate
• Good mechanical ability
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong reading, writing and math abilities
• Computer skills for inventory control
• Ability to work second shift and overtime
• Previous forklift and material handling experience
• Team Player
• Physically demanding position: long periods standing, bending, squatting, reaching and pulling. Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
