Overview
Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: 07/06/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,249–$1,339 per week. Shift: 12-hour rotating D/E/N shifts. This assignment takes place in a hospital-based operating room environment with a wide range of surgical specialties, including complex cases and robotics-assisted procedures. The role requires scrubbing for complex surgeries and supporting a busy OR team.

- Travel assignment in a high-volume OR with diverse case mix

Responsibilities
- scrub for and assist with a wide variety of procedures across multiple specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma (level 1 trauma center)
- support robot-assisted surgeries using two DaVinci systems, coordinating with surgeons and OR staff
- assist transplant cases involving livers, kidneys, and hearts as part of the program
- maintain strict sterile technique, perform instrument counts, and manage instrument turnover and case cart readiness
- collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, circulating nurses, and support staff to ensure patient safety and efficient flow
- troubleshoot equipment issues, anticipate needs during cases, and contribute to smooth turnover between procedures

Requirements
- NBSTSA Certification or 10 years of experience as a Surgical Technician
- Minimum two (2) years of OR experience
- Operating room experience in a level 1 trauma setting highly desired
- Able to scrub; strong gown/ gloves skills and instrument handling
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with rotating shifts
