Cardiopulmonary Rehab Exercise Program Coordinator

Summary of Performance Expectations: Responsible for the implementation of exercise programs for cardiopulmonary rehab patients and surveillance group members. Teaches patients/members proper principles of exercise and proper use of exercise equipment. Monitors patient vital signs before, during and after treatment. Provides individualized patient education. Evaluates exercise status of patients/members.

Education & Credentials: Required Associate degree in Health and Fitness Science or related field. BCLS for healthcare providers or completion of BCLS from the American Heart Association within one month of employment date. Preferred Bachelor's degree in exercise physiology or related health field. ACSM certified health fitness instructor or personal trainer.

Work Experience: Required Experience in patient education with an adult population and/or basic course work in adult education. Given training and on-the-job experience, incumbent should be proficient in the basic aspects of the job within three months of employment date. Preferred Cardiopulmonary Rehab work experience.
