Lead UX/UI Designer

About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead UX/UI Designer to lead the design strategy, user experience, and accessibility initiatives for enterprise applications. This role will partner closely with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to create intuitive, accessible, and scalable digital experiences that align with business objectives and customer needs.In this role, you will:Lead complex initiatives for user accessibility outcomes for the Accessible User Experience groupIdentify the modeling and all risk management including compliance with all federal and state laws for accessibility for all usersReview and analyze complex business and operational objectives that require in-depth evaluationComplete work in accordance with all risk management, compliance and business process expectationsMake decisions requiring solid understanding of policies, procedures and compliance requirementsConduct due diligence and portfolio administration as necessary, and provide in-depth research on relevant industry trendsCollaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and mid-level to more experienced managers to resolve issues and achieve goalsLead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor.Required Qualifications:5+ years of Graphic or Website Design experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of experience with User Experience (UX) and User Interface (UI) Design5+ years of hands-on experience with American disability Act (ADA) Web design5+ years of proficiency in React, including advanced concepts such as hooks, context API, state management, component lifecycle, performance optimization, and modern React patternsExperience designing responsive web applications and enterprise-level digital solutionsExperience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, interaction designs, and design documentationExperience collaborating with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, architecture, and business stakeholdersStrong communication, presentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.Desired Qualifications:4+ years of hands-on experience with modern application architecture design, implementation and deployment especially in containerization, APIs, Message Bus, Single Page Application4+ years of hands-on experience with HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, jQuery, React, as well as data modeling languages such as XML, YAML and JSON.Job Expectations:This role includes an in-office requirement and operates under a hybrid work scheduleCandidate must be located in one of the listed locationsThis position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.Posting End Date: 7 Oct 2026*Job posting may come down early due to volume of applicants.We Value Equal OpportunityWells Fargo is an equal opportunity employer.
