Implementations Manager

Role Overview We are growing and looking for an experienced Implementations Manager to serve as a liaison and dedicated resource to Plan Sponsors and Financial Advisors as they onboard to Vestwell’s platform. You will manage projects, collaborate cross‑functionally with internal stakeholders to enhance our onboarding experience, and provide subject‑matter expertise on plan design and training for Plan Sponsors. Responsibilities Primary internal client advocate representing plan sponsor and advisor contacts. Manage all aspects of the onboarding process from point of sale through successful transition of new plans to our platform. Coordinate with financial advisors, plan sponsors, prior recordkeepers, and/or third‑party administrators to determine conversion timelines, key action items, and delivery dates, and communicate overall project status to both external and internal stakeholders. Collaborate cross‑functionally to provide support where needed and ensure the team can deliver against expected service level agreements. Requirements Necessities 2‑4 years of experience in Retirement 401(k) onboarding implementations, plus project management and leading team initiatives end to end; flexible, creative, team‑oriented, results‑driven, and able to collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders. Professional experience using and optimizing internal technical operational tools (e.g., Jira, Zendesk, Asana, Google Workspace) and helping others develop and employ best practices; bonus points for deployment/build experience. Demonstrated aptitude for learning, creating, and iterating rapidly. Willingness to learn retirement plan design and plan conversion processes from point of sale to release of conversion data. Extras General knowledge of ERISA rules and requirements, and experience with one or more compliance/record‑keeping systems (e.g., SunGard Relius, ASC, FIS). Qualified 401(k) Administrator (QKA) or higher ASPPA credential. PMP or similar project management certifications. Location and Travel This role will be based in New York City, Austin, King of Prussia, or Scottsdale, and will be part of Vestwell’s hybrid in‑office operation. Compensation Base salary range of $80,000 to $95,000 per year, plus performance‑based bonus. The position is eligible to participate in the Company Bonus Pool and receive new‑hire equity.
